Overview

The "Asian Session Breakout EA" is a beginner-friendly MQL5 strategy for MetaTrader 5. It targets breakouts during the Asian session (23:00 to 03:00), finding high and low prices, then placing buy/sell stop orders with a "50-period SMA" filter. It includes stop-loss, take-profit, and optional trailing stops.

Strategy Rules

  • Buy Signal: If the current price is above the "50-period SMA", place a buy stop order above the session’s high, plus "BreakoutOffsetPoints". Set stop-loss below the session low and take-profit using "risktoreward" (1.3).

  • Sell Signal: If the price is below the "SMA", place a sell stop order below the session low, minus "BreakoutOffsetPoints". Stop-loss above the high, take-profit per "risktoreward".

  • Key Components:

    • Session: 23:00 to 03:00, on "PERIOD_M15" (15-minute) chart.

    • Exits trades by 13:00.

    • Optional trailing stop adjusts stop-loss.

  • Platform: MetaTrader 5, MQL5.
