Overview

The "FVG SMC EA" is a beginner-friendly MQL5 strategy for MetaTrader 5, based on Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) from Smart Money Concepts (SMC). It identifies price gaps on charts, draws them as rectangles, and trades when price re-enters these gaps, using a risk-to-reward ratio for profit targeting.

Strategy Rules

  • Buy Signal: When price enters a bullish FVG (green rectangle) from above, buy at the "Ask" price. Set stop-loss below the FVG low, take-profit at the high, scaled by "r2r_ratio" (10).

  • Sell Signal: When price enters a bearish FVG (red rectangle) from below, sell at the "Bid" price. Stop-loss above the FVG high, take-profit at the low, scaled by "r2r_ratio".

  • Key Components:

    • FVGs are gaps where a candle’s low is above the high of two candles ago (bullish) or vice versa (bearish), minimum "min_pts" (100 points).

    • Trades only once per FVG, on "PERIOD_CURRENT".

    • Validates lot size, margin, and trade levels.

  • Platform: MetaTrader 5, MQL5.
